a = University animals are either certified or accredited and have already had these vaccinations or treatments as directed by University Health Plan.
b = Animals purchased outside UMC must either be tested for or vaccinated against these diseases. Purchased animal usually will not be admitted unless at least a 30 day quarantine has been completed under official veterinary supervision as outlined under the Operational Guidelines for the Large Animal Units. Retesting will be appropriate in some instances.
c = No requirement for steers
d = Heifers should be calfhood vaccinated
