    a = University animals are either certified or accredited and have already had these vaccinations or treatments as directed by University Health Plan.

    b = Animals purchased outside UMC must either be tested for or vaccinated against these diseases. Purchased animal usually will not be admitted unless at least a 30 day quarantine has been completed under official veterinary supervision as outlined under the Operational Guidelines for the Large Animal Units. Retesting will be appropriate in some instances.

    c = No requirement for steers

    d = Heifers should be calfhood vaccinated

*Assignment period of not more than 60 days. Assignments may be renewed if no other requests have been received 30 days prior to requested date. Housing requests for more than two non-consecutive 60-day periods will not be approved.
